I searched up shock therapy and this is what a got

PISS POOR DESIGN. JUNK KIT
What’s the turn around like on sending in walkers?
@@arlocartledge5095 all shocks are done with a scheduled Appointment. Have them here day before your appointment and we do them and ship them to you on your appointment day. 👍🏼. Just call the shop to set up your date.
What about through the rims of the tires with a tire strap if it is too short to make your outside hooks?
You can but if you tie a bit up or down from dead center of the wheel it will loosen up.
Cool setup..THANKS FOR SHARING 😊
What tires are on that unit and size?
35x10.50 system 3
Thank you Steve, for using my car for this video and doing an awesome job on the installation. I can't wait to take it out for a test drive...after the temperature gets down to under 100.
Thank you!👍🏼
6:25 привет из России это 1-трубный 2-трубник получается? hello from Russia is it a 1-pipe 2-pipe?
Are you guys still working on the electronic shock collars for adjusting ride height on the fly?
Yes. 3” diameter are produced. Working on 2.5” then 2”. Available very soon
@@ShockTherapyllc looking forward to it fellas, keep up the great work! 🤘🏼
👍
CAN I CONVERT A STANDARD FOX DAC TO AN ELECTRONIC VALVE TO UTILIZE THIS?
Spirit but no. It has to be a live valve shock. As of 2025 all Fox shocks will be that size so live or DSC are interchangeable.
So is Justin now out of the picture for shock therapy ????
I’m right here bro. What’s up? 😂
@@ShockTherapyllc just haven't seen you in videos lately.
These sure look like they'd work on my General XP. I installed a set of PRP straps but quickly found that the tire rubs on the strap bracket. Came across this vid while researching a solution. These would go great with my ST springs, too!
The velocity on the general xp creates issues for the limit strap kit. We are working on it next time one comes in 👍🏼
You spelt cotter pin wrong
PINION PINCH BOLT - to get it on you have to loosen the pinch bolt on the other side of the shaft behind the power steering unit. - This should be in the video as everyone has the same issue!
If you're reading the comments debating on buying portals please watch a different video..!!! Especially if you're a mud Rider.... this video is ridiculous
My first time owner of a UTV. I have an XP 1000 and this video was extremely helpful in what and how to check problem areas. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Great video, I get to tackle this project next weekend. Thank you 🤙👍👍👍
What measurement are you torquing your lug nuts to?
100 ftlbs
My passenger side back tire I have a string ran from back tire to front and the string is not touching the front of my back tire it is on the other side however can I adjust this out any help would be appreciated
Depends on what UTV you own. What you got?
Can you do a video on the new commander xtp... all I ever see is videos on the x3
My 2021 commander xtp does this, I see you have a tie rod kit for my commander to fix it but I don't see how there is enough room in the nuckel to move the tie rod end up or down enough to make a difference
The Commander kit works the same way as the X3, the adjustable shim allows you to correct for up to 3 inches of bump steer.
@@ShockTherapyllc is there more info on the kit? The pictures on you website don't show the shimes , plus I don't see where I can get replacement hiem joints as I'm sure I'll need to replace them at some point
@@hughrs just watch the BSD instal video on the cannam x3. Same process and you can see the spacers. Individual rod ends are available on our site as well. The kit uses a 5/8 RH and 5/8 LH rod end. 👍🏼
Just passed them on the highway
I think you want it to stay "unloose".....
The best resi caps out there!
Dirty old man 😂
Do you have any plans for producing rear limit straps?
We have front and rear limit straps for all XP1000/XP Turbo models.
something that didn't get discussed Bottom out bumper stops Can you replace them by removing the bottom mount Or do you have to disassemble the whole shock Do you sell them separately I'm looking for orange 2016 rzr xpt rear fox 1400 miles Garage kept but Full of cracks hopefully the ones I buy last longer If you don't have them in Orange do you know someone who does
You can replace them that way. Only issue is they are lock tight on so you have to heat up the lower loop enough to melt the lock tight but not enough to ruin the anodizing. We usually take the shock apart and remove them from the other direction. We do sell them just call the shop and we can facilitate for you.
@@ShockTherapyllc thank you for taking a moment to respond your reservoir extensions have been holding up great got several compliments also
Great ideas but way too many points have been completely dismissed. In your theroy a 4 seater with the same suspension as its 2 seater would buck more because the center of gravity is moved rearward. Arguably a 4 seater bucks less than a 2 seater though. Also if the stated theroy in this video were to be correct a standard double a-arm suspension would be like riding a bull...especially in a 4 seater. All that said, suspension with longer links does work beter and is easier to tune but the same goes for longer chassis. Shame on Yamaha for the poor shock/spring tuning!
So i have the 2024 xp 4 seater. Drove about 30 miles on rough pothole roads. 3 of my shocks the reservoirs were very hot and the left rear had no heat in the reservoir at all. Why would that happen. Thanks
First. Hot reservoir is a relative thing. Operating temps are 150-280 degrees. So unless you left skin on the resi when you touched it, then it’s not too hot. Right rear has exhaust next to it so it’s always warm. Left rear not at all. So the fronts work harder than the rears on this unit. That’s normal. But it’s also not right. Spring kit and valving balances the loads and you would have equalized temps not to mention a way plusher and killer ride.
@@ShockTherapyllc thank you for the input. And yes i will be having you guys do work on them. Maybe replace them all together. Not really a fan of the needle shocks
Looks awesome
I have a 2023 Polaris RZR trail 900 50 inch wide it came with 26 by 8 and in rear had 26 by 9 by 12 and I went to a 29 * 9 * 14 dirt Commander 2.0, stock tire was 23 1/2 lb and I think the dirt Commander weighed in at 30, should I get a different CLUTCH kit
Yes. That’s a big enough change to require a clutch kit to get your performance back.
not sure if you guys will answer but what happens if you extend the threaded part ? Let’s say by welding same size thread pitch rod then reinforcing by welding a metal sheath over the joint ? Thank you
Never weld to a rod end. They are high carbon heated 4340. It will become brittle and break. Maybe extend the treaded part the rod end goes into?
@@ShockTherapyllc thank you for your insight and knowledge. The rod ends are going into a machined rear upper control arm. Not sure how I could extend the mating surface 🤒
Time to do this video again withe current sxs selections and updated vehicles 🎉
We'd like to, just tough to get every model in at the same time.
Did the software tuning ever come to pass?
It exists. Launching in 2-3 months
I had the honor of changing all u joints in my xp turbo today. I will burn it if I ever have to do that again. Not fun.
So is there no toe adjustment on the rear of a 2020 rzr S ? If not how can it be altered ?
No adjustment. You would have to put a wedge between the hub and arm to change it. No other way until you completely re design the rear suspension
Could you guys compare these to the new fox shocks that are offered for the pro R that came out few months ago? Trying to dial in what I really want to replace my walkers with
The blackhawks have some cool features. But not all of them are tunable by us yet due to parts and tools. At this point the Fox Shock is better when it comes to dialing it in for your needs.
@ShockTherapyllc thanks for input, I've been on fence on buying the new foxes from you guys. Wish I jumped on that first big sale!
@@andrew140672any time 👍🏼
So 16.5" ride height in the rear with four grown men in the car?? Really curious what the height is without the guys in the car......I bet that thing looks like a "monster truck".....
With no riders it's going to sit pretty tall, we always set ride heights loaded with gear and passengers so it's correct when your riding.
I watch a lot of videos, and I still don't think I did it right. I have 8in between the springs in the rear end. They seem really tight. I read that was factory recommended. What is your recommendation?
Email us your specs and or pictures of your setup to sales@shocktherapy.com so we can see what needs to be adjusted.
Never tie down to suspension components & Make sure straps are not twisted. It’s always a good idea to have a strap running from front of sxs to front trailer as a safety strap.
I’d never tie down to my Suspension or steering components. Bad idea guy.
Never driven one but i like them because it’s basically a modern Honda Odyssey or pilot!
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Rear Windshield for your Can Am maverick x3
100,000 dollar truck. and the shocks need to rebuilt every 33,000 miles for 1000 dollars. nice job ford
Will you be offering this rebuild service on Ikon 3.0 gen #1 shocks.
Yes sir. Have not done those yet but calling them now for seals
Will you ever service King shocks? I have a 200 Series Land Cruiser on Kings that will need to be serviced a year from now.
We will be stocking seal kits for King Shocks in the near future and will be accepting all King Shocks for rebuild services.
The upside down shock on a x3 allows you to have a windshield wash tank
